  6.    Who, where, why....
  7.    
  8.    Basement studio in Melbourne, Australia. Small group of people, a busy
  9.    printing press, lots of shelves with paper on them, and some computers
  10.    with dial-up access to the net.
  11.    
  12.    So far we have managed to get three books together, and there are a
  13.    few more projects taking form at the moment.
  14.    
  15.    The motivation is primarily to give impetus to ideas and knowledge
  16.    that should be generally accepted as mainstream, i.e. out there where
  17.    everyone can see it, but for various reasons has been pushed
  18.    underground.
  19.    
  20.    If we had to define our politics, the anarchist word would probably
  21.    show up somewhere, but there's too much to do for us to waste time
  22.    worrying about theory.
  23.    
  24.    It has been said in many quarters that far from being sometime off in
  25.    the future, the next war has already started. It is the undeclared war
  26.    of the elites against those people who don't share their vision of the
  27.    future. Call it the New World Order, although there's nothing new
  28.    about it, call it fascism, call it whatever you want.
  29.    
  30.    We are working on the premise that the way through it is to work
  31.    constructively towards a sane future, in whatever ways we can. Sounds
  32.    ordinary, sounds safe.
  33.    
  34.    If that's the case, why are the other side so keen on crushing the
  35.    opposition? Why the disinformation, the raids, the confiscation of
  36.    records and equipment, and the jailings, which go either misreported
  37.    or unreported in the media?
  38.    
  39.    Recently, we had word of a group of people in the U.S. working in the
  40.    alternative health field who were raided by FDA agents and had their
  41.    office cleaned out. Computers, mailing lists, the lot. Your name might
  42.    have been there.
  43.    
  44.    Some of what we do here involves the net, some of it involves local
  45.    people who are interested and use their free time to help, and there
  46.    are also authors in various parts of Australia and the rest of the
  47.    world who are either working on material that will become books or
  48.    magazine content, or else patiently waiting for material that they
  49.    have provided to get printed and also distributed on the net.
  50.    
  51.    There's an emphasis on science, both technological and biological,
  52.    because those are the very practical areas in which the suppression of
  53.    "alternative" (sic) ideas causes so much harm to us ordinary folks,
  54.    and keeps alive the system that the power elites have set up.
  55.    
  56.    Because the focus is on getting ideas around and hopefully generating
  57.    some awareness and discussion of them, the emphasis is on hypothesis
  58.    and what *may* be right, rather than what is generally accepted to be
  59.    right; which means that there's an admitted high-risk factor. If you
  60.    see material in any of our publications or on the ftp/web site that
  61.    needs slagging, feel free to do it. If you want to do it publicly by
  62.    providing material either for publication or inclusion on the web/ftp
  63.    site, better still.
